Antique porcelain creamer. Very nicely decorated with a hand painted courting couple framed in fancy gold scrollwork gilding on each side. The courting couple scene on one side depicts a man in yellow and blue Renaissance garb serenading a lady with a string instrument, possibly a lute. The other scene depicts a woman in a pink Renaissance gown and a man about to dance. With rows of different fancy gold gilt designs along the bottom and center, with a band of green with gold gilt net overlay. With more fancy gold gilt scrollwork along the top and gilding to the outside of the spout and handle. Marked on the bottom RK Dresden Germany. This mark was used by Richard Klemm in Dresden, Germany between 1891 and 1914. Has a glazed over in manufacture firing separation to the inside of the handle where it connects to the creamer at the top, but otherwise excellent condition with no post manufacture chips or cracks.
