Nice late 18th / early 19th century French porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted small flowers in pink, blue and orange. With gold laurel leaves and gold scalllops along the edge. Unmarked, but identical in form to cups marked with the blue crossed arrow / torch mark used by Jean-Baptiste Locre near Paris at La Courtille, France. Circa 1773 to 1824. Has some wear to the gilding. The cup has a bruise to the inside of the lip with an associated tight crack extending almost to the foot rim opposite the handle and a small tight crack to the lip in front of the handle. The cup measures approximately 2 7/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 1/8 inches wide.
