Three Chinese Kangxi Blue and White Saucers 18th

Three thinly potted blue and white Chinese Kangxi Period saucers with hand-painted designs of landscapes, flowers and people. One saucer has a boy with a flower that looks bigger than he is, a slightly ribbed cavetto and painted flower stems on the outside. The second saucer has a pair of dancers in the center medallion surrounded by six panels with flowers, and a barbed rim. This saucer also has a slightly ribbed cavetto. The third and smallest saucer has a flower in the center medallion, surrounded by six panels that alternate between flowers and landscapes. The saucers have a dark blue cobalt underglaze and a blue-tinged glaze. The glazes feel thick and unctuous. The bases are glazed and unmarked. The sharp unglazed foot rings have sand adhering to them. The clay is very white and refined. MEASUREMENTS Saucer with boy with flower – 4 ¼" (10.8 cm) diameter x ¾" (1.9 cm) tall. Saucer with dancers – 4 ½" (11.4 cm) diameter x ¾" (1.9 cm) tall Saucer with landscapes – 4 1/8" (10.5 cm) diameter x 1" (2.5 cm) tall. Total weight 7.2 oz (200 g) CONDITION The saucer with the landscapes has two small rim chips. The saucer with the boy and flower has one small rim chip and one larger chip with a hairline leading off. The third saucer with the dancers has one very tiny rim chip with a tight hairline leading off. The glazes show many fine scratches under magnifications but to the naked eye, they are very clear and bright. The set of three antique saucers show much hand work and refinement.
