Stoneware food mold with dark outer glaze and a pale inner glaze with a design of a wheat sheaf. These make a great display when displayed together. This food mold is small and a different color than many molds, making it unusual. The heavy oval stoneware vessel has a molded inner pattern of scalloping and has a well design at the bottom of a wheat sheaf. The outer color of the mold is a dark reddish brown. The inner mold has a gray color. The base of the mold is glazed and the top mouth edge is unglazed. Both the inside and outside glazes are smooth and shiny. MEASUREMENTS 5 ½" (14.0 cm) long x 4 ½" (11.3 cm) wide x 3" (7.6 cm) tall. Weight 1 lb 0.3 oz (465 g) CONDITION There are three small chips on the base and a rim crack. There is a kiln crack in the wheat sheaf. These were used pieces of kitchen paraphernalia. It looks good when displayed with the inside visible. I have a entire glass door cabinet in the kitchen with these food molds. They look great together. These food molds add character, age and have interesting shapes and colors.
