A colorful Victorian plate from the 19th century with a sweet pea and grass arrangement in the well and a daisy border. The molded 8-sided ceramic plate with a scalloped edge and a thin raised border along the rim. The rim is decorated with a daisy border and the well with a colorful transfer of grass and sweet peas. The glaze is an off-white. The foot is shallow and molded. COPELAND B A80 2 are impressed in the base, and "22" and (1387 V" are painted. MEASUREMENTS 8 3/8 in (21.1 cm) wide x 8 3/8 in (21.1 cm) tall x ¾ in (1.9 cm) deep. Weighs 10.7 oz. CONDITION The plate has two chips under the rim, and one visible from above. There are also small glaze frits on the rim. There are typical kiln flaws, such as bumps, transfer misses, and spots. The crazing to the glaze is moderate. There is only slight wear to the front. A pretty antique Victorian-style plate that will add to your collection and enhance your home decor.
