An artistic, handmade sculpture of a recumbent water buffalo that is very realistic. The molded ceramic has been finished by hand. The way the hair has been fashioned as well as the face, hooves, and horns are amazing, and has a realistic look. The base is flat, and you can see the beige color of the clay. It has a hole in the base for firing and is hollow. A molded mark on the base reads CHINA and the number "75". MEASUREMENTS 8 ¾ in (22.2 cm) long x 6 in (15.2 cm) wide x 3 ¾ in (9.5 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 2.5 oz. CONDITION The figure is in great condition with no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. There are a couple of tiny misses on the dark brown glaze on the body and a spot of what looks like white glaze on bottom of the leg where it rests. There is also a bit of wear on the tip of one horn. A ceramic water buffalo that has a realistic look and will add to a collection or use to decorate your home with a Chinese sculpture.
