Offered is Department 56 The Heritage Village Collection Dickens' Village Series "Sir John Falstaff Inn" Gads Hill, Fourth in an ongoing edition of historic buildings endorsed by the Charles Dickens Heritage Ltd. Foundation, 4th Edition Limited to 1995. The building depicts a two-and-one-half-story Tudor inn with gray-brown shingle roof with snow accents and three small dormers, large gray brick chimney with twin red caps, cream stucco with stone and timbering, four bay windows with blue trim and yellow glow, green garland and wreaths on bays, signage "SIR JOHN FALSTAFF INN GADS HILL" and small "TO BATH" road sign at base, brown panel door with small bench and shrub, green side door, rear stable doors, hay bale, small tree and wall-mounted pump detail. Includes small gold-tone hanging flag sign with black post as pictured. Marked on bottom "DICKENS' VILLAGE SERIES 'SIR JOHN FALSTAFF INN' Fourth in an ongoing edition of historic buildings endorsed by the 'Charles Dickens Heritage Ltd. Foundation.' Charles Dickens, the Victorian novelist (1812-1870), while traveling, visited inns reminiscent of the Sir John Falstaff Inn. 4th Edition Limited to 1995 © Department 56 1995" with Charles Dickens Heritage seal and "INSPECTED BY 21/18" sticker. Measures approximately 7" tall x 5-1/2" wide x 5" deep per rulers shown. Comes in original green box with Styrofoam insert. The porcelain shows light surface dust and minor paint scuffs consistent with handling and storage; no large chips or cracks noted in photos. The hanging flag sign and post are detached but present. The original box shows edge wear, light scuffs and corner wear consistent with age and storage. Lighting not tested; light cord not pictured. Sold as-is.
