Two late 19th-century American etchings on paper. The larger work is after Julien Dupre's The Hayfield, executed by Peter Moran and signed in pencil P Moran in the lower right margin. It features a flock of sheep remarque and printed text reading Copyrighted by Radtke Lauckner & Co. New York. 1888. The smaller pastoral etching by William Wellstood shows cows wading in a river, signed W. Wellstood in pencil with a bird's nest remarque and plate text reading W. H. Coughlin '84 and COPYRIGHT 1888. The Moran etching has a significant tear and loss in the lower left corner, with heavy toning and scattered foxing. The Wellstood etching shows light toning and a crease in the upper right.
