A mixed lot of older college/professional textbooks covering internal medicine, learning and memory, and human anatomy/physiology. The collection includes: 1. Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, Vol I, 11th Edition, a large hardcover medical reference published by McGraw-Hill, ISBN 0-07-007282-0 and complete-set ISBN 0-07-079454-5. Editors include Eugene Braunwald, Kurt J. Isselbacher, Robert G. Petersdorf, Jean D. Wilson, Joseph B. Martin and Anthony S. Fauci. A comprehensive professional reference on internal medicine, including clinical pharmacology, immunology, infectious disease, cardiovascular and pulmonary emergencies, endocrinology, genetics, cancer and numerous other diseases and treatments. Harrison’s remains a major medical reference, but this edition is historical rather than appropriate for current treatment guidance. Fair used condition. The hardcover has considerable rubbing, scratches and edge/corner wear. A large strip of white tape wraps around the covers/spine, and there is an old library-style call-number marking on the spine. The inside cover is stamped Medical Staff Library, Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, PA, indicating former institutional or library ownership. The interior pages are readable and reasonably clean, with age-related discoloration and wear. Binding is intact and secure. 2. Learning and Memory: Basic Principles, Processes, and Procedures by W. Scott Terry, 2nd hardcover, University of North Carolina–Charlotte, published by Pearson Education/Allyn & Bacon, copyright 2003 and 2000. A college-level psychology textbook examining the major principles of learning and memory, balancing animal-learning research with human memory. Topics include conditioning, memory processes, neuropsychology and learning, practical applications, memory problems, recovered memory, and the effects of psychological stress on memory. The second edition incorporates material from neuropsychology, education, psychiatry, nursing and related disciplines. Very good used condition. This is easily the best-condition book of the three. Bright blue hardcover boards and glossy illustrated panels remain attractive with only light rubbing, scratches and minor corner/edge wear. Page block is clean and bright. Interior pages are clean, and no obvious highlighting, writing, stains or tears. Binding is firm and intact. 3. Elements of Human Anatomy and Physiology by Richard A. Boolootian, with assistance from Maxine Rodburg, R.N. and Steven Mark Sachs, is a hardcover textbook published by West Publishing Company, copyright 1976. ISBN 0-8299-0086-1. An introductory human anatomy and physiology textbook. The contents begin with organization of the human body, cells, tissues, organs and organ systems, followed by cell morphology and chemistry, plasma membranes, cytoplasm, mitochondria, cell division, mitosis/meiosis, genetics and related biological processes. It was intended as an educational A&P text rather than a general-interest book. Poo
