A collection of 12-inch vinyl long-play records featuring various popular music artists from the 1970s and 1980s. The group includes Elton John’s Madman Across the Water with its characteristic textured denim-patterned sleeve, and Three Dog Night’s It Ain't Easy. Country and western music is represented by the Marty Robbins 20 Golden Memories deluxe two-record set and Alabama’s Greatest Hits (RCA AHL1-7170), the latter of which remains in its original factory shrink wrap with a red promotional sticker highlighting Seven Number One Classics. The collection also features multiple albums by the Swedish pop group ABBA, including the double album The Singles: The First Ten Years and Voulez-Vous. The Carpenters are represented by several titles including Christmas Portrait (A&M Records), The Singles 1969-1973 (A&M SP 3601), and their self-titled 1971 album. The records are housed in their original printed card sleeves, some of which are protected by additional clear plastic outer covers. Condition: The collection shows varying degrees of preservation. The Alabama Greatest Hits album remains in its original factory-sealed shrink wrap. Other album covers exhibit standard shelf wear consistent with age, including corner bumping, edge rubbing, and light surface creasing. Several sleeves are housed in protective plastic covers. The vinyl records themselves have not been tested for audio quality or inspected for surface scratches.
