Impressive vintage White Rose double-sided porcelain advertising sign, measuring approximately 50 inches in diameter. This large-format sign features the classic yellow, white and red White Rose design with the distinctive rose graphic and bold WHITE ROSE lettering on both sides. The sign retains its curved metal upper hanger/frame with mounting loops. Its large 50-inch size gives it considerable display presence and makes it an appealing piece of Canadian petroliana and service-station advertising memorabilia. This example is being offered in unrestored, heavily weathered condition. Both sides exhibit substantial porcelain loss, rust and corrosion, including prominent horizontal areas of deterioration extending through the upper centre and across portions of the White Rose graphic. Additional chips, surface rust, scratches, staining, edge wear and oxidation are present throughout. The photographs intentionally include close-up views of these areas so bidders can clearly assess the condition. Despite the deterioration, much of the original yellow, white and red colouring remains vibrant, and the WHITE ROSE lettering remains highly visible on both sides.
