A color lithograph on toned paper by Bernard Buffet, executed in his signature linear expressionist style. The still life composition depicts a green nautical lantern, a sea urchin, and a trident against a cross-hatched ground. The work is signed upper right 49 Bernard Buffet and hand-numbered 48 / 300 in black ink. It is presented in a wide, dark-stained wood frame. Frame measures 22.75 x 28 inches. Overall fair condition. Toned paper with heavy moisture staining to the verso. The frame exhibits significant paint loss and surface wear. Lampe Tempête (Storm Lamp) is from Buffet’s Douze Aquarelles (Twelve Watercolors) portfolio and reflects the artist’s ability to transform an everyday object into a striking composition through his unmistakable graphic style. Works by Buffet remain widely collected internationally. Attributed to Bernard Buffet (French, 1928–1999), Marine Lantern Still Life, Signed and Dated 1950 — Authentication Required
