1904 Theodore Roosevelt and Charles Fairbanks campaign textile or mounted kerchief. This appears to a be a striking early 20th C. American political campaign textile or mounted kerchief commemorating the 1904 Republican ticket of Theodore Roosevelt for President and Charles W. Fairbanks for Vice President. Richly decorated with American flags, a large federal eagle over shield motif, the design embodies the bold patriotic imagery of the Progressive Era. "Protection to American Industries" in lower banner reflects the Republican Party's industrial and economic platform during the Roosevelts successful 1904 campaign. Darkened due to age.
