A matching pair of decorative metal sculptures depicting a cockerel and a hen, finished in a rustic folk art style. The figures are constructed from painted sheet metal with open-work lattice bodies formed from overlapping, embossed leaf-shaped segments. The birds are decorated with black heads and tails featuring white-painted feather detailing, bright red combs and wattles, and cream-coloured bodies. The structures are supported by black-painted heavy-gauge metal rod legs and splayed feet. The cockerel is shown in a standing posture, while the hen is depicted in a nesting position. Dimensions: Cockerel height approx. 58.5 cm (measured in inches against a visible ruler). Condition: The sculptures are in weathered condition, consistent with outdoor display. Surface oxidation and rust are visible, primarily affecting the interior of the lattice-work bodies and the metal legs. The painted finish shows signs of fading, minor chipping, and accumulated garden debris. Both items appear structurally sound.
