A collection of vintage galvanised steel domestic and garden utility items. The collection includes a large oval wash tub featuring twin side handles and a matching fitted lid. Also included is a pedestal-base coal scuttle with a flared pouring spout and an overhead swing handle, containing a nested group of tapered buckets of varying sizes, each fitted with wire handles. The items are constructed from zinc-coated iron with seamed joints and rolled edges. Dimensions: Wash tub lid length approx. 53 cm, total stacked height approx. 76 cm. Condition: The items are in fair vintage condition, showing signs of age and utilitarian use. The galvanised finish exhibits a weathered, dulled patina with spangling throughout. Surface oxidation is present, notably on the wire handles, the base and seams of the coal scuttle, and sections of the wash tub. Dents and surface scratches are visible, particularly on the lid and body of the wash tub. All pieces remain structurally intact.
