This two-piece set comprises a walnut-veneered dressing table and a matching stool, dating to the mid-20th century. The dressing table is designed in the Art Deco waterfall style, characterized by the rounded front edge of the top surface. The upper section supports a large circular adjustable mirror set within a wooden frame, mounted on a decorative shaped cresting. The base is configured with a central kneehole flanked by two pedestals. Each pedestal contains two drawers: the upper drawers are fitted with circular metal knobs and the lower drawers with horizontal metal bail handles. The drawer fronts feature book-matched walnut veneers and the drawers are constructed with dovetail joints. The piece stands on a simple plinth base. The accompanying rectangular stool is made from dark-stained wood and features an upholstered seat in a pinkish-toned fabric with a repeating small-scale pattern. Dimensions: H approx. 152.4 cm x W approx. 96.5 cm x D approx. 45.7 cm (all measurements taken from tape measure displaying inches only). Condition: The set is in original, unrestored condition. There is visible surface wear throughout, including accumulated dust, light scratches, and clouding to the finish on the main tabletop surface. The stool shows rubbing and finish loss to the edges of the wooden frame.
