Issued by the American League Baseball Club of Washington, D.C. for a game in June 1947 at historic Clark Griffith Stadium, this original Major League Baseball ticket stub measures approximately 3.25 by 1.25 inches (mounted on a 3.5-by-4.25-inch paper backing sheet) and features a yellow $1.25 Grand Stand rain check design printed with serial number 223737 and the facsimile signature of team president Clark C. Griffith. Attached to a period paper backing containing handwritten ink notes identifying the match as "Washington vs. Detroit at Washington" alongside attendee names, this cardstock piece serves as a fantastic mid-century artifact for collectors of Washington Senators, Detroit Tigers, and vintage ticket stub ephemera.
