Photograph signed ("Mamie Doud Eisenhower") and inscribed in mat "For Barnett Lester with my warm best wishes," 10" x 8", gelatin silver print of Mamie Eisenhower and President Eisenhower in the Oval Office, accompanied by a TLS of Mamie Eisenhower to Lester dated September 3, 1971. 2. JOHNSON, CLAUDIA ALTA "LADY BIRD". Photograph signed ("Lady Bird Johnson") and inscribed in margin "For Barnett Lester, with best wishes", 8" x 10", gelatin silver print, in commercial frame. 3. CARTER, ROSALYNN. Photograph signed ("Rosalynn Carter") and inscribed "To Barnett Lester Best Wishes," 7 1/2" x 9 1/2", color print, in commercial frame. 4. BUSH, BARBARA. Photograph signed ("Barbara Bush") secretarially inscribed in margin "To Barnett Lester With best wishes", 6" x 7 1/2", color print, in commercial frame. 5. CLINTON, HILLARY RODHAM. A pair of photographs signed ("Hilary Rodham Clinton"), 6" x 7 3/4" and 8" x 10", color prints, one matted and framed, the other housed in original White House transmittal envelope. Barnett Lester (1912-2007) served over 50 years in the State Department. TOGETHER, 5 items.
