Salvador Dali (1904–1989). Vision of Venice (also known as Visions of Venice), 1976–77. Signed and numbered etching on Arches paper, edition 48/300, depicting a Venetian gondola gliding across the lagoon before an imaginative cityscape rendered in Dalis distinctive fluid, linear style. Printed in blue and hand-signed in pencil by the artist lower right, with edition number lower left. Published by Levine & Levine, New York. Matted and framed under glass in a giltwood frame. Sight: 7.5 x 14.5 in..Frame: 16 x 22.5 in. This work belongs to Dalis sought-after Vision of Venice series, produced in an edition of 300 and cataloged by Albert Field. Expect to pay $2,000 and up in a gallery. Provenance: From the estate of a distinguished Georgia physician, whose collection of fine art, antiques, jewelry, and decorative objects was carefully assembled over a period of decades.
