One John Deere portable air tank from the Ferguson estate, the carry style tank a farmer keeps around for topping off tires away from the shop. The tank is painted John Deere yellow and carries the black and white leaping deer decal on the side. The valve manifold on top holds an Ashcroft pressure gauge reading 0 to 200 PSIG, a fill valve, a bleed screw and a lever marked ON and OFF. A rubber air hose runs off the manifold and is long enough to loop the tank twice. A factory warning decal reads that the safety relief valve has been preset to prevent filling the tank beyond 200 psi and that the valve should not be altered or tampered with. The gallon capacity is not stamped anywhere that we could find. The yellow paint is scratched and chipped with surface rust along both end seams and scattered rust spots on the body. The tank has not been pressurized or leak tested by us and is sold untested. Condition is fair. Authenticity and function have not been verified by Crawford Auction Service. Estimated Value: $25 to $50 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
