Camp Cookware Svea Stove Base and Mess Kit

A camping and outdoor cooking group from the Ferguson estate. The lot includes a brass camp stove tank marked with the Swedish three crowns, NC 65 and SVEA, a black speckled enamelware camp coffee pot with lid, three matching black speckled enamel cups, a stainless steel nesting mess kit made up of a shallow fry pan, a small pot with a wire bail and a lid, a large stainless measuring pot graduated to 32 ounces and 1000 cc, a smaller stainless cup, an olive drab military style kettle with lid and wire bail plus a separate wire hook, two wooden handled barbecue tools and two gray handled taping knives. Svea has been building brass camp stoves in Sweden since the 1800s and the little brass burners are still prized by backpackers and collectors. Condition is fair to good with honest use throughout, chips in the enamel, tarnish on the brass and light rust on the steel. Authenticity and function have not been verified by Crawford Auction Service. Estimated Value: $75 to $125 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
