Circa 1944 Gibson J-45 "Banner" WWII-Era Acoustic Guitar. Desirable wartime Gibson featuring the gold script Gibson logo and iconic “Only a Gibson Is Good Enough” banner on the headstock. Interior neck block is clearly ink stamped 2585. The FON and instrument features are consistent with Gibson J-45 production circa 1944. Factory Order Number 2585 is ink stamped on the interior neck block. Based on the Banner-era features and comparison with documented Gibson Factory Order Numbers from this period, this guitar is believed to date to approximately 1944. Features a slope-shouldered body with sunburst top, dark-finished back and sides, teardrop pickguard, rectangular bridge with pearl/white dot inlays, dot fingerboard markers, and open-back strip tuners with cream buttons. This guitar displays extensive age-appropriate cosmetic and play wear throughout, including finish checking, scratches, scuffs, finish wear and other marks from decades of use. Please review all photographs carefully for condition. Visible wear/finish disturbance is present around the neck and heel area. FON: 2585 Please rely on photographs as an important part of the condition description.
