Pair of vintage carved wood horse-head bookends, each featuring a detailed relief carving of a horse in profile above a subtly carved landscape. Both pieces have a warm medium-brown wood finish with visible grain and are signed “MAKIN” on the reverse. Each also retains an original metallic retailer label reading “The Fox Room, R.D. #1, Riegelsville, PA 18077.” Both bases are covered in dark green felt to protect shelving and furniture surfaces. Each measures approximately 6” H x 6” W x 3” D. Attractive equestrian decor suitable for a library, office, study, or horse collection. Some surface wear consistent with age and use.
