This group features a brown-glazed octagonal ceramic teapot with relief scenes and a antique Rockingham-style or Bennington-type glazed pottery cuspidor (spittoon) with a rich, mottled brown glaze over a yellowware base and molded Gothic arch detailing. The teapot is impressed S. P. Co. and FIRE PROOF on the base, while the spitoon displays molded foliate and shield motifs. Accompanying these are cast iron components including four scrolled bracket bars and four foliate decorative wall plates. The octagonal ceramic base measures approximately 12 inches wide. The spitoon shows a vertical crack and small surface chip at the lower rim by the pouring spout. The teapot and cast iron pieces appear intact, showing typical surface irregularities and light wear.
