This salt-glazed stoneware storage jar features a cylindrical body with two applied lug handles and a wide, collared rim. Hand-painted cobalt blue leafy floral motifs and an impressed capacity mark decorate the front and shoulder. The interior is finished with a dark brown slip glaze. This jar stands 14 inches in height. One lug handle has a significant chip. The exterior shows scattered surface staining, firing imperfections, and iron spots typical of salt glazing. The base exhibits dark spotting.
