Custom-made by Ben Wurtz of Philadelphia, this vintage mahogany mink fur capelet features a prominent shawl collar and two front button-and-loop closures. The interior is finished with a chocolate brown satin lining decorated with embroidered blue roses and a stylized monogram reading M L P. A woven label at the interior neck reads CUSTOM MADE by Ben Wurtz 325 S. 60TH ST. PHILADELPHIA. Measurements include a 27 inch length from collar to bottom seam, 24 inch sleeves when folded, and a 16 inch shoulder to shoulder width. The garment remains in good vintage condition with the fur exhibiting a high natural luster and no visible bald spots or pelt separation. The interior lining is well-preserved with some minor loose threads near the manufacturer label as expected with age and use.
