Rooster with hand blown green glass and iron. 26.5" tall and 23" wide. Don Pell is a Canadian sculptor and glass artist recognized for his distinctive combination of blown glass and metal. A graduate of Sheridan College School of Design, Pell has spent a career exploring the relationship between these two materials, creating colourful, imaginative and often large-scale works that bring sculpture into the landscape. Over the course of his career, Pell has exhibited throughout Canada, the United States and Europe and has taught sculpture and design workshops at institutions across North America. His work can be found in public and private collections, including several sculptures displayed at Kingsbrae Garden in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. Pell continues to work from his studio near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
