Heather Sayreau landscape. 3.5" X 3.5". Framed, unsigned. Heather Sayeau is a Canadian painter and educator based in Nova Scotia. A graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD), she holds degrees in Fine Art and Education and taught Fine Arts at NSCAD for nearly three decades. Sayeau’s artistic practice focuses primarily on oil painting, with subjects ranging from landscapes and still life to flowers and the figure. Her work has evolved from representational painting toward a more expressive, semi-abstract style, characterized by vibrant colour, strong line, and an openness to exploration and experimentation. She has exhibited across Canada since the early 1980s, and her work is held in private and public collections in Canada and abroad. Her floral paintings, inspired in part by her lifelong connection to gardens and flowers, are among her most recognized recent works.
