Ruby Necklace.

Chain Length:55cm Brooch length:5.5cm W:4.4cm Wt:16.6g

- Platinum framework: (According to historical records, approximately two billion years ago, a massive meteorite struck North America, depositing platinum on Earth. This represents the earliest known evidence of platinum discovered by humanity.) Revered as the "King of Metals", platinum emerged from its two-billion-year seclusion and was formally adopted in Edwardian jewellery. Pure and resilient, it forms delicate lace-like openwork mounts that retain their lustre even after a century. - Old Mine Cut diamonds: Each stone is cut in the iconic Edwardian Old Mine Cut. Their warm, candle-like fire conveys the tactile charm of the handcrafted era. - Burmese ruby: Intense pigeon-blood red rubies sourced from legendary Burmese mines, boasting a velvety lustre. Paired with the cool brilliance of diamonds, they create an aesthetic interplay of ice and fire. The central ruby of the necklace is entwined by diamond vines, inspired by the Edwardian Garland Style, which reflects the Art Nouveau reverence for nature. Featuring a detachable pendant design, it may be worn with low-cut evening gowns to exude opulence or as a shorter chain for everyday adornment. This dual-purpose design embodies the ingenuity of noble women a century ago. The necklace can also be disassembled and worn as a brooch. Fully marked with French antique gold hallmarks, maker's mark and archival reference number. Accompanied by a large Guild ruby origin certificate.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
