Brooch Depicting Ruins of the Roman Forum. <br><br>4.1*3.4cm Wt:13.35g<br><br>Archaeological Revival style *Grand Tour* aristocratic travel theme Central panel depicts ruins of the Roman Empire dating to the 7th century BCE, a panoramic view of the Foro Romano (Roman Forum). The "optimum viewpoint" of classical art encompassing three major ancient monuments. From left to right: Arco di Settimio Severo (Arch of Septimius Severus), Tempio di Vespasiano (Temple of Vespasian), Tempio di Saturno (Temple of Saturn). Etruscan Revival goldsmithing technique. Mounting frame crafted in 18K gold. Border decorated with twisted wire filigree. Micro Mosaic technique.
