Twisted-Wire Open-Work Multi-Gem-Inlaid Butterfly Brooch.

7.5*4.1cm Wt:17.7g

Production period: circa 1960-1975. Founded by Giuseppe Graser of German descent. His family gold-working heritage stems from traditional Alpine filigree craftsmanship. He combined Northern European gold-wire weaving techniques with Venetian Renaissance chased-gold aesthetics. This signature twisted-wire open-work filigree represents his defining technical hallmark. The butterfly wings are variably set with natural red coral, jasper, turquoise, lapis lazuli, black onyx, natural pearls and diamonds, harmoniously blending multicoloured gemstones. The butterfly with outstretched wings is a classic Western-jewellery motif, symbolising transformation and rebirth. Three official hallmarks are struck on the reverse: the 750 gold-purity mark, the Italian official precious-metal star assay stamp ??682 VI, and the maker's signature G.GRASER. The workshop operated for a relatively short period. All pieces were entirely hand-made with highly complex techniques, resulting in a scarce surviving output. G. Graser gold jewellery has been regularly offered at auctions including Sotheby's, Chiswick Auctions (UK) and Artcurial (France). His creations sustain a naturalistic aesthetic, offering both wearable vintage appeal and solid long-term collectible value.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
