10.52% Ag) Filigree-Granulation Violin-Shaped Brooch-Pendant set with Ruby, Emerald, Amethyst and Diamond . <br><br>5.2*2.18cm Wt:9.57g<br><br>Victorian brooch-pendant. Assayed metal composition: 79.8% gold (approx.19.15-karat), 10.52% silver. Modelled in the form of a violin, crafted in intricate filigree-and-granulation work. Set with ruby, emerald, amethyst and diamond distributed across the body. Fitted with original safety-chain and jump-ring, wearable either as a brooch or suspended as a pendant. Musical-themed jewellery enjoyed great popularity in the Victorian period. Such gold-silver alloy was widely adopted within Etruscan-Revival goldsmithing, the alloy enhances hardness to execute delicate filigree-granulation details. Metal surfaces exhibit age-related wear.
