Heracles in Lion-Headdress.

Ring Size: US 6.5 Wt:7.86g

Having slain the Nemean Lion, Heracles flayed its pelt and wore it as armour, using the lion's head as his helmet, which aided him greatly in many subsequent brutal battles. Greek mythology abounds with demigod heroes, among whom Heracles the Mighty is arguably the most popular. This is evident from ancient Greek coinage. He appeared far more frequently as the motif on coins than major Olympian deities such as Hera, Queen of the Gods, and Ares, God of War. Presumably this is because the figure of Heracles feels more authentic and relatable, more like the ideal Greek in the imagination of the ancient Greeks.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
