This lot is for a large vintage oil painting depicting an antique China head doll seated on a high-back ladderback chair, surrounded by a smaller doll, a straw hat, and an open doll trunk. Artwork seems to be an original on vintage canvas, as you can see a few small paint brush hairs stuck in the paint. Pauline Elizabeth Law was born in Wilmington, Delaware in 1903 but grew up in a rural historic New York town of Moravia. This piece of artwork is rare as she mostly painted landscapes. On the back there is a hand written title and sticker labeled “Grandma’s Dolls”. The frame is in great condition with very small age spots. Measures 4’5” tall x 34.5” wide. Artwork does not sit behind glass. SHIPPING DISCLAIMER: Due to the size and weight of this item, we are unable to provide in-house shipping.
