Vintage Japanese Doll Pair w Snugins Blanket Clips

Updated September 21, 2026

Vintage Japanese Doll Pair with Snugins Blanket Clips This unique vintage collector's lot features two distinct miniature pocket dolls alongside a pair of genuine 1930s nursery accessories. The larger 4-inch doll wearing the orange fabric kimono is made of a traditional Japanese composition material (gofun) rather than porcelain. The second, 4.5-inch doll featuring molded blonde hair, a bright blue hat, and a pink wrap coat is made of hand-painted bisque porcelain and features a stamped "Japan" mark. Included in the original floral storage box is a matching pair of authentic, stamped "Snugins" Universal Cover Fasteners made by the Universal Cover Fastener Co. of New York City. These spring-jaw metal utility clips feature intact cotton tying ropes and were originally used in mid-century nurseries to secure baby blankets to crib rails.
