Chinese blue and white porcelain plaque, beautifully painted in the traditional bird-and-flower (huaniao) genre. The design and inscription strongly align with the masterful style of Wang Bu Dimension: The large vertical calligraphy on the upper left reads ???? (Han Lin Qiu Yu), which translates to "Autumn Whispers in the Cold Forest." Two beautifully rendered birds (likely finches or thrushes) perch upon the rugged, bare branches of a wintering deciduous tree. One bird looks intently backward while the other tilts its head up in response, creating a silent, lifelike narrative dialogue.
