exquisite antique Japanese Satsuma or Kutani porcelain vase, featuring a classic tsurukubi (crane-neck) silhouette and dating from the Meiji Period (1868–1912). Dimension: 4 1/2"H. The vessel displays a highly unique, architectural geometry consisting of a flat-shouldered, compressed central body that rises into a tall, slender column-like neck. It terminates in an elegant, flared pedestal foot. The flat upper shoulder is decorated with a fine, hand-painted narrative vignette depicting classical Japanese figures or scholars dressed in traditional robes (kimono and kamishimo), gathered beneath a stylized tree canopy. The long neck is embellished with a dense green bamboo leaf pattern highlighted by golden circular medallions and a red scrollwork collar at the lip.
