This auction lot features a four inch tall vintage painted cast iron novelty figural bottle opener depicting a humorous drunken man in a top hat and tuxedo clinging to a green street lamppost. The top of the lamppost features a rectangular sign reading Bedford PA hand painted in black letters over a yellow background with a functional bottle opener hook built directly into the reverse casting of the figure. The solid metal piece exhibits some condition flaws including noticeable paint chipping and loss along the base rim edges and corners of the signpost light paint wear on the gentleman outfit and hat and an accumulation of surface dust and light grime in the crevices of the textured casting from age and handling though the structure remains free of cracks or breaks.
