This ten-inch porcelain military figurine depicts a Union cavalry soldier from eighteen sixty-three leaning against a stone wall while holding a fabric pennant flag. The piece features hand-painted details including a dark blue uniform coat, light blue trousers, high black boots, and a sculpted saber tucked at his side. The rectangular base is marked on the front with the words eighteen sixty-three cavalry, while the hollow underside displays an original red manufacturer backstamp alongside a handwritten date from August nineteen sixty-nine. The figurine shows light cosmetic wear consistent with age, including small spots of paint loss on the gold epaulets and a few tiny dark marks on the reverse side of the uniform coat, but the porcelain body remains completely free of chips, cracks, or visible repairs.
