Expressive pottery wall plaque modeled with two adjoining theatrical faces, including a broad-faced figure beside a darker grotesque character wearing a tall curled jester-style cap. The sculptural composition is finished in mottled cream, gray, brown, and blue-gray glazes, with exaggerated facial features and applied details giving the piece a distinctly whimsical, theatrical character. A long pottery-link chain descends from the lower portion as part of the decorative design. The reverse is fitted for wall mounting, and an impressed decorative maker’s device or studio mark is visible near the lower edge, although the maker has not been conclusively identified. Condition shows age-related surface wear, glaze irregularities, small chips/nicks, and areas of roughness consistent with handmade pottery construction and display use. Measures 28"H x 13.5"w x 7"D overall.
