Set of nine matching sterling silver bread and butter plates, each fashioned with a broad plain rim and shallow circular well in a clean, understated design. The undersides are stamped STERLING along with pattern or production numbers and additional maker’s hallmarks. Several plates appear to bear engraved monograms or small crest-like devices near the rims. The group displays scattered surface scratches, scuffs, light tarnish, and handling wear consistent with age and use, but presents as a cohesive sterling silver service set. Measure 6.25" in diameter each and total weight is 39.55 OZT.
