A vintage Chippendale style wingback armchair. The frame features a high, dramatic channel-tufted (or channel-back) backrest with flared wings that seamlessly transition into rolled armrests. The chair is fully upholstered in a teal moiré patterned fabric, showcasing a distinctive wavy, watermarked texture throughout. It is supported by two front carved mahogany cabriole legs featuring stylized acanthus leaf or shell carvings at the knees, terminating in pad feet, alongside gently splayed square rear legs. The armchair is in good vintage condition. The moiré upholstery is well-preserved with no apparent rips, tears, or major stains, though light fading and minor surface wear are visible along the armrests and cushion edges from normal use. The carved wooden legs show minor scuffs and surface scratches near the base, but the frame remains structurally sound and sturdy.Measures 39"H x 32"W x 38"D and seat height is 18"tall.
