Rex Stroll-O-Chair Mid Century Baby Pram

Updated September 19, 2026

Rex Stroll-O-Chair vintage baby carriage or pram, American, mid-20th century, featuring an olive-green textured body trimmed in white piping and bright chrome, with a large articulated folding hood, deep upholstered bassinet compartment, curved tubular push handle, and four large spoked wheels with pale rubber tires. The exterior retains its attractive crown-and-“REX” metal emblem as well as the original “STROLL-O-CHAIR” manufacturer’s plate, identifying the piece with Rex Baby Carriage Mfg. Co.; the Stroll-O-Chair name was in documented use by Rex beginning in 1949. The carriage incorporates an elaborate chrome suspension and folding undercarriage typical of the company’s convertible mid-century designs, while the interior retains a cream floral-embossed mattress and white-lined sides. Condition is consistent with age and use, with scattered scratches, scuffs and discoloration to the green exterior, oxidation and surface wear to the chrome framework and wheel components, noticeable soiling, staining and age-related discoloration to the white interior lining and mattress, and general wear to the tires, trim and mechanical fittings; the hood and carriage structure appear substantially complete . Measures 40"H x 47"w x 30"D.
