An outstanding circa 1950s Mid-Century Modern eight-arm “Atomic” chandelier, blending classic Space Age design with Hollywood Regency flair. The fixture features eight sweeping brass-tone arms radiating from a sculptural central hub, each terminating in an original elongated conical frosted opal spatter hand blown glass “bullet” shade decorated with tiny dark speckles. Stylized curved leaf and petal elements surround the center, creating a dramatic floral or botanical silhouette characteristic of postwar modern lighting. The canopy retains its original Underwriters Laboratories inspection sticker, Issue No. C-10899, together with an IBEW union label, supporting period American manufacture; the exact maker remains unidentified, though the design is consistent with lighting produced by firms such as Moe Light and other American manufacturers of the era. Metal surfaces exhibit age-related patina, oxidation, scuffs, scratches, and areas of finish wear, while the glass shades show light surface wear consistent with age; NEEDS TO BE REWIRED. Measures approx. 26" H x 31" W x 31" D.
