A colorful two-piece grouping of purple iridescent carnival glass featuring a Fenton vase with a rounded body, raised rose and foliage decoration, and dramatically ruffled rim, finished with strong violet, cobalt, green, and gold iridescence. Accompanying the vase is a Westmoreland swan-form bowl molded with opposing swan handles, cattails, and aquatic vegetation beneath a scalloped rim, also displaying rich blue-purple carnival coloring and metallic sheen. The Westmoreland bowl would originally have been fitted with a lid, which is missing. The Fenton vase bears a molded maker’s mark to the underside. Both pieces show scattered surface scratches, rubbing, shelf wear, and minor manufacturing irregularities consistent with pressed carnival glass. the swan dish measures 3.5" tall and the Fenton vase is 6.5" tall.
