This is a vintage American Flyer Lines #975 animated passenger coach in red. This model was specifically produced by A.C. Gilbert for use with an animated station platform in 1954 and 1955. The car features an internal mechanism designed to move passengers from the station through one end of the car and out the other. It belongs to the 9xx series of American Flyer cars, which succeeded the earlier link-coupler style 6xx and 7xx series.
