A substantial and highly varied Canadian NHL hockey numismatic and philatelic collection bringing together Royal Canadian Mint coins and medallions, Canada Post NHL stamp issues, limited-edition presentation sets and commemorative material devoted to many of the most celebrated players and franchises in professional hockey history. Anchoring the collection is the impressive 2009 Montreal Canadiens 100th Anniversary Collector Set, individually numbered 6956/9500 and housed in its original black Canadiens presentation portfolio. This elaborate centennial issue commemorates the 1909-2009 history of hockey's most storied franchise and incorporates three Montreal Canadiens commemorative $1 coins, commemorative postage stamps, a protected lenticular souvenir sheet, historical team material and a series of gold-plated retired-number wafers honouring Canadiens legends including Howie Morenz, Maurice "Rocket" Richard, Doug Harvey, Dickie Moore, Jacques Plante, Bernie Geoffrion, Jean Béliveau, Henri Richard, Yvan Cournoyer, Ken Dryden, Serge Savard, Guy Lafleur, Larry Robinson, Bob Gainey and Patrick Roy.
