An exceptionally distinctive three-work grouping by Virginianne from the artist's "Carved in White" Collection, comprising the signed and edition-inscribed wildlife subjects Tiger, Polar Bear and Eagle Shadow, each accompanied by its original publisher folder. Conceived in a dramatic near-monochromatic white-on-white format, these large-scale embossed relief works on paper achieve their impact through pronounced sculptural modelling rather than conventional printed colour, allowing changing light to articulate the raised surfaces, incised lines, feathers, fur, foliage and landscape details with remarkable dimensional presence.

Tiger presents the animal emerging from a densely worked tropical environment of overlapping leaves, branches and vegetation. The relief carving is particularly effective throughout the layered foliage and facial structure, while the selectively coloured amber eyes and black facial markings provide an arresting contrast to the otherwise white composition, immediately directing attention toward the tiger's expression. Measuring approximately 24 x 30 inches.

Polar Bear is the largest of the three works, measuring approximately 24 1/2 x 33 1/2 inches. Virginianne depicts the great Arctic predator advancing across fractured ice, its massive body projecting prominently from the surface while distant ice formations and delicately rendered water establish an expansive polar setting. Restrained touches of colour to the eye, nose and paw further intensify the almost sculptural whiteness of the composition.

Eagle Shadow, approximately 24 x 30 inches, captures an eagle in powerful descending flight, wings fully extended and talons lowered. Individually articulated flight feathers, layered plumage and finely modelled claws demonstrate the technical effectiveness of the deeply embossed medium, producing an image whose character changes subtly according to the direction and intensity of surrounding light.

Each work bears pencil inscriptions along the lower margin, including the Virginianne signature, title and edition notation, and each retains the irregular deckled-edge presentation characteristic of the series. Particularly noteworthy is the survival of the original publisher folders for all three works. Such accompanying material enhances the completeness and collector appeal of the grouping and is increasingly desirable when editioned works have remained together with their original presentation materials.

Viewed collectively, the three compositions demonstrate the central aesthetic achievement of Virginianne's "Carved in White" concept: wildlife rendered almost entirely through relief, texture, shadow and reflected light. The contrast between the tropical Tiger, Arctic Polar Bear and airborne Eagle Shadow gives the group unusually broad visual range while maintaining a highly cohesive presentation. Their substantial scale and pronounced dimensional surfaces make them particularly effective as state
