Vintage clear-glass Crisco shortening jar featuring raised oval Crisco advertising logos and a textured shoulder for easier handling. Crisco switched from metal containers to glass during 1942-1949 to conserve metal for the World War II effort. Measures approximately 6 inches tall, 2.5 inches in diameter at the threaded opening and 5.5 inches in diameter at the base. Original paper label and metal screw-on lid are missing.
