Rare Large vintage football-form trophy awarded to the undefeated champions of the Northwest Side Independent Football League for the 1935–1936 season. The engraved football includes the team roster and identifies Alvin T. Stumpf as sponsor, J. Wright as manager and C. Ryan as captain. Mounted on a tiered black base with an applied medallion reading "Spies Bros. Inc., Jewelers, Athletic Awards, Chicago." Spies Brothers was a prominent Chicago manufacturer of school, fraternity and athletic awards. Measures approximately 13 inches tall. Substantial surface oxidation, finish loss, scratches and age-related wear are present. Metal content is unknown and no precious-metal claim is made.
